Straight after the Sundance Film Festival last year filmmaker Kareem Tabsch, the co-director of the award winning documentary Mucho Mucho Amor called the Queerguru Office. He was very insistent that we get hold of a short queer animated film that had been showing at the same screenings as his film.
We did exactly and he was so spot on as we LOVED The Shawl so much that we tried to interview the filmmaker at that time. For some reason that never happened but now were more determined as the film is about to be screened at Metrograph in NY for a week. This will increase their chances of actually being nominated for an Oscar …… yes, it is that good.
So we tracked down Dusty Childers & Shane O’Neill a very extraordinary queer couple who have such a zest for life and a passion for Stevie Nicks which made for this perfect award winning short animated film Queerguru chatted with them and feasted our eyes on the fabulous duo who are the stars of this wee gem of a film directed by Sara Keiner
The irrepressible multi talented Deven Green and her charming Brit musician Ned Douglas partner and beau, sat down with Queerguru to talk about VERSUS their absurdist comic new game show that lis now launching on Revry TV. We’ve always totally adored Devin (who has kept Ned hidden from us for years) and it was as always a sheer joy to spend some time with ….as you will see below and also by watching VERSUS too
Queerguru sat down to talk with the multi-million selling recording artist/actor/performer/director/producer, and LGBTQ activist Sam Harris . He’s the only person we know who slammed the phone on Elizabeth Taylor thinking it was a prank call! As if.
With a real zest and unceasing energy for his life on and off the stage, and his very infectious sense of humor, Sam regaled us with stories about his very successful career that is the subject of Ham. A Musical Memoir. The film that tracks his whirlwind life and that is so fully of surprises is about to be released on two major streaming platforms on https://watch.laemmle.com/and www.broadwayhd.com/ It is a sheer joy, as is the man himself.
The film was directed by Andy Putschoegl who took part in our interview too

On the eve of the premiere of Brit queer writer Paul Harvard’s debut play GHBoy opening in London’s Charing Cross Theatre, he talked with QUEERGURU . The play explores gay culture, promiscuity, and the misconceptions that go along with this, and is inspired in part by the murders committed by Stephen Port, as well as Paul’s personal experiences of parties in his youth.
Aurelian and Nicolas are a disarmingly charming French gay couple knew they were meant for each other the very first time they met . They also knew that they wanted their own family.. However with the Government, the Church, French culture + society’s homophobia against this, they knew that the odds were hardly stacked in their favor. But they were passionate and determined about having children even if it meant breaking French law.
This journey, spread over several years was filmed by Jonathon Narducci and now on the eve of the documentary, GHOSTS OF THE REPUBLIQUE, being released in the US, QUEERGURU tracked down Aurelien & Nicolas in Paris to find out if their story really has a happy ever after ending
