Finally a face to face with filmmaker and Sink The Pink aficionado the lovely Joseph Wilson, then off to BFI Flare to interview David Hoyle who we think is still ‘Divine’, and finally meeting the multi-talented Lyall Hakaraia at VFD one of the best queer spaces in the East End. Whilst all those interviews are being edited, here’s a wee trailer of Lyall, resplendent in #Halson & #Chanel, welcoming us to VFD (formerly Vogue Fabrics)

In 1988 Margaret Thatcher introduced a hate-filled anti-LGBTQ Law called CLAUSE 28 which was to effectively ban the promotion of homosexuality. Even now some 30 years later it’s left a bitter memory within the LGBTQ Community for its sheer pernisciousness. Brit filmmaker Joseph Wilson‘ talks to QUEERGURU about his short dystopian film that follows a group of unapologetically queer warriors forced to flee the UK at that time.
