Curator DAVID KAPLAN shares his passion for everything TENNESSEE WILLIAMS

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , ,

The annual Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival is a showcase for one of World’s most celebrated queer writers who spent many summers there creating some of his finest work and constantly falling in and out of love.  Established 13 years ago , it was however QUEERGURU’s first time as it is held in the  Fall when we have usually left Town.

This year’s Festival combined the work of Williams with that of the provocative Japanese writer Yukio Mishima who became a close friend of Williams as they shared the same esthetics.

Queerguru spoke with David Kaplan the Festival’s Curator to find out what it really is all about, and how it now plays to sold-out crowds at every performance and grew into becoming such a beloved #PTown cultural highlight

The interview was conducted by Roger Walker-Dack and filmed at Carpe Diem Guesthouse and Spa
