Provincetown Celebrates the life of Rev. Jim Cox

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels ,

Provincetown has always nurtured a fine sense of community so when one of its own favorite sons died, the town turned out in force to give him the New Orleans style Funeral that he had asked for.

The Reverend James W. ‘Jim’ Cox , the Pastor of the United Methodist Church passed away Tuesday, September 10 at home aged 59. He was very involved in community and a number of causes, including the Soup Kitchen in Provincetown, the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, the Provincetown Swim for Life, and the Homeless Prevention Council, to name but a few.

Reverend Jim, as he was affectionately known, will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  We hope he loved today’s Celebration of his life
