When David Drake’s production of Terrence MacNally’s Tony Award winning classic play LOVE, VALOR & COMPASSION opened in the Provincetown Theater last week, it quite rightly was greeted by rave reviews. With McNally and his husband Broadway Producer Tim Kirhady in the audience, the atmosphere was electrifying and the talented cast of gay actors really outdid themselves, It was probably the best piece of theater that Queerguru has witnessed in all our summers up here .
Amongst the cast was NY actor/singer Justin D. Quackenbush making his Provincetown debut with an exhilarating scene stealing performance as Buzz that never let up once in the whole 2 and a half hours. With perfect timing, he really relished every ounce of humor of MacNally’s magnificent script with its wonderful hilarious veins that peppered this story about a what was essential tough time for NY’s gay community, and indeed elsewhere.
We were completely captivated and were delighted when Justin agreed to be interviewed for our series The Passion of P Town about people and events who are passionate about what they do here in out town.

Despite the fact that we have had almost 250K hits on YouTube (yeah!) they will not give us a single cent of the advertising money that they make off us until we have more subscribers. Won’t cost you a dime, but it will help support our site. Just simply click on the link below. Thank you very much!
