After it’s World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the brand new documentary LIZA: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story will be heading for a screening at Provincetown Film Festival on  June. 14th   Die hard Liza Minnelli fans  (and you know who you are…) will recognize  the  title  is one that she used in her iconic introduction for the song “Ring Them Bells” at her 1972 New York concert.

Even being born into such an illustrious show biz family and always in the spotlight, yet her fascinating life story  has never really been told absolutely or truly. From the speculation that her beloved godmother Kay Thompson’s “Eloise” series was about her to the gossip rags that hounded her for decades, many were searching for insight into the talented and charismatic performer, but few got it right. This equal parts eye-opening, thoughtful and hilarious documentary is here to correct that, with Liza getting to tell her story in her own words.

This fascinating documentary by  Bruce David Klein‘s makes for compelling viewing for both die-hard fans and curiosity seekers fascinated by how the young Minnelli’s life went from being a shiny new movie star to a rather eccentric iconic  show business figure.
