Lee Pace gets all sweaty and naked to fight for his life against robotic assassins in Apple TV’s series FOUNDATION

No member of the Queerguru Team has any penchant for Sci-Fiction at all  (even when it is gay) so we missed the Apple TV series Foundation.  However, one of our eagle-eyed readers who is a big fan of the TV program pointed out that we need to re-think our stance as we really were missing out.

This naturally raised our curiosity about this saga, based on books by Isaac Asimov,  of a. band of exiles who break all the rules to save the Galactic Empire.  It stars out-gay actor Lee Pace (Golden Globe nominee for Soldier’s Girl) who plays Brother Day, a series of genetic clones who rule the Galactic Empire.  In the clip below his character is shown warding off an assassination attempt. It’s a surprisingly visceral sequence, and Pace is fully committed, only further highlighting how odd it is that he isn’t already considered one of the biggest action stars on the planet.  Best of all this two-minute-long action sequence features a sweaty and completely naked Pace fighting for his life against robotic assassins.
