Heavily inked Ukrainian ballet star Sergei Polunin has something of a reputation as ballet’s ‘bad boy’. He is temperamental, outspoken and evidently will not suffer fools gladly even if that means giving up a lucrative position as a Royal Ballet principal dancer. To the world outside of ballet he is known for his stunning performance in the music video Take Me to Church” by Hozier, directed by David LaChapelle which has had almost 15 million hits to date.
Polunin dazzles again in this new video inspired by the cut-out style of early noughties fashion campaigns. New York-based director Raf Stahelin focused his lens on Polunin’s toned and tattooed body for this collage-like portrait.
