Usually every week queerguru takes a brief look at some of the big things that have made us smile and get a real ‘high five’ aka the ice cream emoji, and at the other end of the scale, those things that have really pissed us off and get a very big thumbs downs aka the famous ‘poop’ emoji. However we put this on a brief hiatus since the fateful Presidential election as we have been overly obsessed with the T word. We still are, but nevertheless we have made a New Year Resolution to keep him out of our barometer and focus on other queer matters both good and bad for 2017.

Normally queerguru is overjoyed at the news of any impending same-sex marriage, but this time we suspect that Tom Daley’s announcement that he and Dustin Lance Black will wed this year was intended to railroad queerguru’s own 2017 wedding. He evidently has never gotten over our own history with his fiance.
