KEITH HARING : A RADIANT LEGACY a new Exhibition of the work of the iconic queer American artist of the 1980s

A stunning new Exhibit of the work from the iconic queer artist and activist KEITH HARING has just opened at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture.  A RADIANT LEGACY is an in-depth celebration of Haring’s life 240+ Haring artworks and objects, a selection from Haring’s personal art collection, 20 objects from Angel Ortiz (LAII), and a community youth partnership.

This limited-run Exhibition also examines Haring’s friendships and collaborations with Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Madonna, Grace Jones, and more

Before his untimely death from AIDS in 1990 aged just 31 years old, Haring  was arguably the most accomplished and prominent American artist of the 1980s.  However during his brief 10 year career he rewrote the rulebook for contemporary art, integrating the seemingly discrete arenas of New York City’s gritty downtown counterculture and uptown art aristocracy.
