Manhattan portrait photographer Jordan Matter has followed up his New York Times Best Seller ‘Dancers Amongst Us’ , with a new book of equally stunning photographs called ‘Dancers After Dark’. This time he has persuaded all his ballet dancer models to strip naked in various iconic places around the globe after dark for these breathtaking images. What is even more remarkable as witnessed in the behind the scenes video at the bottom, is that due to some very prudish laws about public nudity, they had little or no opportunity to rehearse each shot. What you see, says Matter, is totally natural and exactly as he saw it in his lens. In the case of the photograph above taken in Paris, he even positioned himself naked right in the middle with his camera.
Jordan Matter’s ‘Dancers In The Dark’ is available now at Amazon and elsewhere.
