Barbra Streisand is taking no chances with the release on her new album and has recruited a whole host of stars to sing duets with her. The 74 year old diva who kicks off her North American Tour this Tuesday in L.A. ahead of the Aug. 26 release of “Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway,” her 35th studio album, and has added Tony & Golden Globe Award winner Hugh Jackman to the roster.
In this behind the scenes video La Streisand explains why she chose Jackman “The first person I thought of was Hugh Jackman. He could be a werewolf or whatever he is, Wolverine? And yet he is a wonderful actor who sings great.”
She could have simply said : ‘he has a great voice, is almost 30 years younger than me and looks as hot as hell’. That would have worked too.
