Whilst most of the world braces itself for the Arctic weather conditions expected over the next few days, there is one man in his element. 58 year old WIM HOF is a Dutch daredevil, commonly nicknamed “The Iceman” for his ability to withstand extreme cold, which he attributes to exposure to cold, meditation and breathing techniques (similar to the Tibetan technique Tummo).
Hof holds 26 world records, including a world record for longest ice bath and describes his ability to withstand extreme cold temperatures as being able to “turn his own thermostat up” through breathing exercises.
So if you are (almost) at the end of your tether today, queerguru thinks you might as well use the time trapped indoors to learn how to be the next Hof. You can start by trying his free video mini course online. https://www.wimhofmethod.com/elearning/free-3-part-video-miniclass , or even sign up for a 10-Week Video Course (maybe in this case just binge watch it) to learn and practice his method https://www.wimhofmethod.com/10-week-video-course.
And you know that ex-boyfriend of yours that you claimed was always as cold as a block of ice, then why not gift him a Day Course with Wim himself. The next one is in Sydney Australia, so maybe just buy him a one-way ticket. https://www.wimhofmethod.com/activities/wim-hof-method-experience-sydney.
Meanwhile, could someone please pass us a another glass of mulled wine.
