Exactly one year ago a group of some 30 dapper (and extremely handsome) young Kurdish men who live in Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan Region formed the country’s first ever gentlemen’s fashion club called Mr. Erbil.
Their aim is not just about bringing western styles to Kurdistan, but helping to resuscitate the local failing fashion scene by designing their own clothes using locally produced fabrics too. However beyond that they are determined to create better lives for themselves, effect positive social change, and bring Kurdish culture to a global audience.
