Only last week we interviewed MILK the NY Drag Queen who is making her PTown debut here in her show ALPHIE at Velvet Lounge. Just passing through town to check up on him, was Milk’s boyfriend who is the one you got him into drag in the first place . James Whiteside, like Milk is also a member of The Dairy Queens, an audacious drag troupe in which he loves to let his hair down from his day job as Principal Dancer with the American Ballet Theater .
Before James’s mother passed she used to phone her son and leave him wonderful voicemails that every eccentric show biz mother did in those days before cell-phones And James’s drag persona Ühu Betch used them to video himself brilliantly lip-syncing to his mother’s actual messages which so rightfully deserve a much wider platform.
