Out Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati debuted his latest Random Identities Collection in a film film entitled DOMESTIC (between wars), starring the American performance artist MJ Harper. Pilati , a former head designer at Yves Saint Laurent. and at Ermenegildo Zegna now lives in Berlin with his boyfriend, and their house is the setting for the presentation.
The film itself reflects the style of how haute couture collections used to be presented in the old days. Usually set in the House’s salon in front of a handful of the most prestigious clients, and maybe a select couple of journalists. Pilati wanted the film to recreate the intimacy of those very same shows.
Directed by Konstantin Bock with cinematography by Christopher Aoun, and it features original music by composers Isola Music and saxophonist Mat Clasen,
