For the past 14 years MEAT has been one of our favorite gay pin up pictorials ….. and it not because its from the UK ….. like our Editor ….although the the magazine has a cult following (and he does not!) Two years ago the magazine transistioned into new project : meat ICONS which now publishes 12 zines over 12 months each featuring one stunning man each issue.
MEAT is the creation of queer London photographer ADRIAN LOURIE who told (a very jealous) Queerguru that he has been photographing men in their underpants since 2010. He is rightly very proud that the magazine is full of stylish, un-retouched, natural photos of the guys (we all fancy) in their own environments.
Now he has produced his second meat MANUAL featuring BRIEFS, a collection of new, archived, and previously unpublished guys in their undies whxh is available for pre-order today. Its a substantial 100 page tome, and a follow-up to the highly successful first volume which featured guys in their socks, is now available for pre-order.
Adrian told us I’ve had even more fun putting this one together and I’m incredibly excited to share it with you. There is a strict limit of 200 copies, 100 signed and 100 unsigned. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. There will also be no digital version of this edition, making it a truly exclusive item for your collection.
The pre-orders make this project happen and allow me to self-publish my work without advertising revenue or funding
If you want to buy one, visit the store page. AND If you want to be in one, email Adrian (and tell him Queerguru sent you) [email protected]
AND THEN THERE IS MORE ……
Here is the latest issue of meat ICONS with you. Issue #31 which features Adrian’s friend and absolute man mountain, Zachary James. Zach is a Broadway superstar (he originated the role of Lurch in the original Broadway production of The Addams Family. He’s also performed in Grammy and Olivier Award-winning productions and at some of the most prestigious opera companies in the world (The Met, ENO to name but two). On tv, he’s been featured in 30 Rock, Law & Order and The Blacklist. As if that’s not enough of a c.v. you can currently see Zachary in the role of Hades in the West End production of Hadestown. (If you can catch the show, I cannot recommend it enough. It’s the most original and exciting show I’ve seen in London’s theatre district for a long time.)
