Carrie Bradshaw‘s favorite shoe man is now about to clad the feet of all the men in her life (if only she was still around …..sigh!) The legendary Spanish designer Manolo Blahnik who has cultivated all the airs and graces of an English aristocrat is devoting his new 17th retail store (‘tiny but fabulous’ he claims) for his first range of men’s shoes.
Set in London’s rather grand Burlington Arcade the new range will not be for any ordinary Tom, Dick or Harry with prices starting at £698 (about $977). It will feature basket weave loafers and sandals, suede brogues in an array of bright colors, desert boots, Chelsea boots and car shoes among other styles.
One thing we can guarantee will not be included are trainers. Blahnik not only deplores them, he actually was quoted as dismissing them as horrible things”.

P.S. If you want to get a fix of the talented but very eccentric Blahnik than check out the documentary based on his life that was released last Summer, and should now be on streaming platforms everywhere Here’s our review of it https:// queerguru.com/2017/08/manolo-the-boy-who-made-shoes-for-lizards
