As it’s the centennial of the birth of Touko Valio Laaksonen aka TOM OF FINLAND, we are expecting there to be a lot of celebrations throughout the coming year. He was 
a Finnish artist known for his stylized highly masculinized homoerotic art, and for his influence on late twentieth century gay culture. He has been called the “most influential creator of gay pornographic images” by cultural historian Joseph W. Slade.
Queerguru has already been invited to the UK’s first public exhibition dedicated solely to hi work at London’s House of Illustration in March.

They will be inspired by Tom of Finland’s unique stylised tone with the first three episodes set to be period pieces, with later installments taking place in the present day and future in order to “re-imagine Tom of Finland for a new generation”.
