There’s a really comforting old-fashioned twang to the love song ‘Christmas With You” that Country singer/songwriter Bryan Ruby wrote for his boyfriend Max. Ruby is also an out-gay professional baseball player, and co-founder of the Proud to Be in Baseball and he explained that he wrote the song while he was on the road for baseball and really missing his boyfriend
Ruby added that it’s a universal sentiment for anyone who’s been away from their significant other during this time of year and, as he explained, the lyrics were inspired by his career as an LGBTQ athlete.
