The Queen of the Netherlands and two music star Queens join all the World Pride Queens in Amsterdam

HM Queen Maxima of The Netherlands is on the bottom right

When the US hosted the World Cup, the event was almost overshadowed by the antics of the Orange Man, whose actions lacked the basic decorum of a chimpanzee, insulting a US population of some 342 million.   Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic in the Netherlands (population 18 million), the very elegant Queen Máxima officially opened WORLD PRIDE.  Her Majesty stood out for both her sincerity and sheer passion for the LGBTQ+ community, in stark contrast to Orange Man, who believed in a community of ONE.

Her Majesty was on home territory in Amsterdam, where she is far from the only ‘queen.’  Plus she was also host to two very special queens, also known to the world by just their first names. Madonna, finally pairing up with Kylie, turned years of fan hopes into reality, and at World Pride gave a special preview of their first official music collaboration after appearing on stage together on multiple occasions

Madonna and Minogue performed together during Madonna’s Club Confessions event presented by MISTR at AFAS Live in Amsterdam as part of WorldPride on Aug. 1. The pair gave the live debut of their upcoming collaboration, “Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix).” They also did a duet rendition of Madonna’s song “Sorry.’

This all follows Madonna’s recent Times Square Show in NY when she was sponsored by GRINDR : the woman is becoming a better gay man than most of us.
