Whilst The Orange Men ended up (literally) playing with himself to ‘celebrate’ Independence Day on July 4th, Provincetown was packed and playing host to gay royalty. After all, this is where (we) Brits kicked off the whole US thing when they landed the Mayflower here in 1620 (and when the Orange Man was just a boy). On the eve of the 4th, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen were hosting a live broadcast on CNN with a Drag Show from this queer mecca at the very tip of Cape Cod. It was all too fabulous.
But wait, there’s more: July 3rd was the day that Madonna chose to finally release her highly anticipated new album Confessions 2. There could be no doubt of the date, as everywhere you went in Provincetown that day her music was blasting out. That was to be expected, BUT what really shocked our Editor was that right in the Town center he was accosted by the Madonna Twins still wearing their launch party clothes. What made this accidental meeting special (!) was that the Twins are actually big fans of both Queerguru and our Editor …… talk about mutual admiration!
PS For all you doubters out there (and we know who you are), this ‘historic’ meeting between these cultural icons had independent witnesses
