Whilst nationwide last night all eyes were all firmly focused on Ted and Bernie in Wisconsin and their important wins in the State’s Primary Elections, another contest there barely made our radar until this morning. The voters of Wisconsin decisively voted in one of the most rabid anti-gay judges Rebecca Bradley on to their State Supreme Court for a 10 year term.
The basis of the accusations are in several articles that she wrote back in University : the Chicago Tribune reported
‘In her writings, Bradley describes homosexuals as “queers,” compares them with drug addicts, saying they “essentially kill themselves and others through their own behavior.” She describes newly elected president Bill Clinton as “queer-loving” and says his 1992 victory “proves that the majority of voters are either totally stupid or entirely evil.”
She also describes homosexuality as “an abnormal sexual preference” and says those who support it are “dumb” and “degenerates who basically commit suicide through their behavior.”
And there is much more evidence on her extreme views including how she mocked individuals suffering from AIDS. “How sad that the lives of degenerate drug addicts and queers are valued more than the innocent victims of more prevalent ailments,” wrote Bradley. She added “Perhaps AIDS Awareness should seek to educate us with their misdirected compassion for the degenerates who basically commit suicide through their behavior.
In this past year Republican Bradley has tried to recant these pieces with the briefest of written apologies, but it strikes queerguru that it is virtually impossible that anyone with such inbred hatred for any human beings could ever be impartial enough to sit in judgement of others.
