Drew Sebastian is a man who wears many hats ….. one of which means he actually wears nothing at all. His first love was musical theater, he trained at Cordon Bleu School and became a chef to a few famous folks (think Adam Levine etc) and in the Covid Lockdown he was a much sought-after Personal Trainer …. and for many years he has been a major star of adult films. It is a career he is mighty proud of….. and quite rightly so … and one of which he shares stories about ….. some of them hilarious ….in his one-man show DAD’S CABARET that he is about to perform at the Pilgrim House in Provincetown.

Queerguru caught up with him to talk about his new life as a sexy cooner on the eve of him losing his PTown (professional ) virginity

Declan Bennett talks about his one man play BOY OUT THE CITY @ Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , , , , ,

We all had different approaches/ideas of how to survive The Covid Lockdown and in the case of queer Brit actor/performer/musician DECLAN BENNETT he left the bright lights of the big city and move to the smallest village he could find in the English countryside. Once there in his isolation, Bennett was forced to face the demons of his past on a messy journey through the turbulent world of toxic masculinity, homophobia, and men’s mental health.

From the lonely aisles of Hobbycraft to the bright lights of New York City, this is the story of a man in desperate search of identity when confronted with sudden unexpected solitude. The charismatic Bennett put pen to paper sharing all these Introspective experiences with such passion, optimism, and a re-found sense of self-love into a compelling one-man play. It makes the audience both laugh and cry but most of all, shows how something so positive can come out of the wretched pandemic. With the play just about to open at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival Fringe, he talked with Queerguru about sharing his journey in this way.

Danny Valentine and his husband Andy talked to Queerguru about their exceptional new movie THE MATTACHINE FAMILY.  Named after the very first gay rights group, the film is based on their own experiences as a couple planning parenthood. Given the current contentious political climate, this story that explores contemporary queer parenting is both brave and heartbreaking, and you find yourself inadvertently routing for them every inch of the way. Even non-paternal types like our Editor who conducted the interview on the eve of the film screening at OUTFEST in LA
