One of the fabulous ways that the queer community in London celebrate PRIDE month is with some stunning ART Shows.
Like THREESOME at Bethnal Green’s edgy Proposition Studios which is part exhibition, part happening, and features brand new collections from three London-based queer artists. It brings together the erotic-pop punch of Gavin Dobson, the dreamy queerness of Isalu Ishii, and the sleek, graphic energy of Mark Jackson. It’s sexy, thought-provoking, and full of East London attitude. In a bold and intimate exhibition, through themes of love, lust, voyeurism, and playful abandonment, the collection reflects the rites of passage familiar to many queer experiences.
A percentage of proceeds from a specially produced limited-edition print will support the vital work of Positive East.

Narcissus Dreams With Luke opened at BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Café Gallery on 15 May 25. The exhibition is a collaboration between publisher Twin Palms and artist The Skinny Type, to celebrate the re-edition of Luke Smalley’s second book, Exercise at Home. Smalley (1955-2009) was an American artist recognised for his photographic work. His images drew inspiration from fitness manuals and yearbooks. A graduate with a degree in sports medicine from Pepperdine University in the USA, Smalley spent several years working as a model and personal trainer. He used real high school athletes as models, who participated in unusual, imaginary competitions he conceived.
The Skinny Type primarily creates hand-cut photographic collages that depict idyllic scenarios of young love and intimacy. Their work delicately balances idealism with naturalism. These scenes explore various representations of the male figure, reflecting the dreams and fantasies of an observer seeking to realise impossible scenarios of narcissistic love. The collages aim to create intimate moments between characters and situations that have little in common, other than the desire to bring them together.
Narcissus Dreams With Luke opened at BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! on May 15, 2025. This exhibition is a collaboration showcasing eight hand-cut collages. |
