One of the joys of living on the very tip of Cape Cod in the queer mecca of Provincetown is the smorgasbord of people who are now lucky enough to call the place home. One of them has gone even further by making it possible for young queer people who have experienced tough times growing up to spend a summer here for a chance to live openly gay.
Kristen Becker is the creator and driving force behind SUMMER OF SASS: she is an exceptional person who not only has some ideas to help the next generations but actually turns her dreams into realities. Now she has had a second building donated to the charity ….. which she has plans to turn into both another haven for more ‘ Sassers ‘ and a much-needed source of income.
Queerguru has always had the deepest admiration for her: so many people talk the talk, but that has never been enough for Kristen, so it was a joy to sit down with her again to hear about all her exciting new plans. Dan Desjardins filmed the interview at Cafe Maria, Provincetown
