Word reached Queerguru from Manchester… the UK’s 2nd-biggest LGBTQA+ city… think Queer as Folk… about a talented young queer artist having his debut solo show at the prestigious HOME Gallery. Conor Collins is very refreshingly excited about his new work, which is heavily influenced by the culture and community he surrounds himself with.
He is an engaging and intuitive artist who shared that when he was low on funds (i.e., broke) and couldn’t afford to buy paint, he used chocolate instead. …. making both him (!) and the art edible. Here he talks about his show TO SEE AND BE SEEN, and trust us, judging by this body of work, we will be seeing a great deal more of him in the future. Watch this space
