Holly Revell on ‘PEOPLE LIKE US’ celebrating trans, non-binary & gender non-conforming identities

Legendary photographer of queer performance, portraits and projects HOLLY REVELL probably knows more about the queer alternative scene in London than all of us put together Her work is a perfect record of the explosion of queer culture over the past decades and plays witness to all the highs ….. and lows….. that has made the UK’s capital what it is.

Her latest project PEOPLE LIKE US is an extremely unique collaborative photography project exploring trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming identities and experience. The timing could not better for the launch of this photo book as it celebrates the lives of this section of the LGBTQ+ community that is so unfairly being treated as the ‘whipping boy’ and society’s scapegoats in todays’ really scary political climate. As well as celebrating the lives of the 48 people in the book, it also serves as a means of creating better understanding and respect from the rest of the LGBTQ community.  Holly is in conversation here with Roger Walker-Dack

The Book Launch is Dec 11th www.queercircle.com
