Ok it’s grab a box of Kleenex time as you listen to Ron Malott from Austin Texas tell his story of how he and his twin brother broke the news to their mother that they were both gay.
Their mom cried a bit and said: ‘I just want to know you’re going to be okay. I just want to know that you’re going to find true love and that you’re going to be with somebody because that’s what you deserve and I really regret that you probably won’t be a dad because I think you’d be an awesome dad.’
Years later he proved her right on both points as when she was in poor health, Malott moved back to Austin with his husband and their two adopted children so that they could take care of her in her last years.
I did warn that you would need tissues even though this story does have a happy ending.
