Queerguru first came across Brit Award-winning queer writer BREN GOSLNG some 4 years ago to talk about his play MOMENT OF GRACE, which captured a very significant moment that created such a seachange when Diana, Princess of Wales shook the hands of an AIDS patient in a London Hospice back in 1987.
Today we are talking about TWO new works: firstly, his debut novel THE STREET SWEEPER, an intergenerational relationship between two men from totally different backgrounds….. which has just been published. Plus his latest play INVISIBE ME about 3 single people in their sixties ….. including an HIV positive AIDS widower, coping with the onslaught of old age, We talked about the importance of writers from our community developing work that will become our much-needed history for the next queer generations
The play opens at the Southwark Playhouse on April 8th
PS There is a film version of MOMENT OF GRACE on YouTube, you can see HERE
