Queerguru has always been a big fan of the work of photographer and author Ari Seth Cohen, who likes nothing more than capturing the sartorial savvy of the senior set.  He is the creator of Advanced Style, and in his projects, he features people who live full creative lives. They live life to the fullest, age gracefully, and continue to grow and challenge themselves. We even took a leaf out of Ari’s book and once had the supreme pleasure of interviewing IRIS APFEL who had published a rather fabulous memoir Iris Apfel: Accidental Icon: Memoirs of a Geriatric Starlet.  and was the subject of her own documentary by Albert Maysles .  She was a mere 94 at the time

Mr Cohen is the subject of our attention again for another Advanced Style book that he has published and that somehow (!) had slipped our attention until now. This heartwarming book dives into the magic of interspecies relationships through Cohen’s vibrant portraits and interviews of mature fashion icons with their adorable animal friends.
