#RestInPride is a new video campaign that has been started as a result of the recent tragedy of 49 innocent lives lost at the LGBT nightclub, Pulse, in Orlando, FL on June 12, 2016. The campaign has been created to spread a message of love and support to people who are feeling alone or scared to live proudly,
The organizers have set out a simple mission statement :
- Keep the conversation of Orlando going.
- Giving local communities (both LGBT and allies) a vehicle to show support and for a direct call-to-action.
- Encourage people to donate directly to the OneOrlando Fund.
The video below features Rumer Willis, Greg Louganis, Candis Cayne, Bruce Vilanch, Wilson Cruz, and 49 members and allies of the LGBT community sharing their memories in honor of those who sadly can’t make anymore of their own. The soundtrack song “LIGHT” by Brian Justin Crum, is available on iTunes, with all proceeds to benefit the OneOrlando Fund.
