Where queerguru will be “worshipping” this Sunday in London

Tommorrow will be Day 4 of queerguru in London, and as it’s the Lord’s Day, we’ll be worshipping at all different places all day long.  Starting off with Dr. Sharon Husbands Ph.D. dishing out advice at ASK SHAZ Brunch at Dalston Superstore, and we already have our own long list of questions for East London’s best queer ‘agony aunt’ ….. who is also the co-founder of Naked Boys Reading.

Then we sort of get down and dirty with Martin Vinter-Jackson who put Lucha Brittania on the map, and we love the sexy mayhem of this wild and wonderful form of wrestling which is nothing that you have ever experienced in your life.  Or maybe you have, and never shared the fact with queerguru!

Followed by a private audience with the glamorous international singing diva La Voix.  She was in Ab-Fab the movie and has one mission in life to bring back glamour, class, and sophistication, not to mention humor, to stage and screen!  So we’ll be sure to put on Sunday best for her.

Then it’s a matter of jumping into an Uber and heading back to the Southbank and the BFI Flare London’s LGBTQ Film Festival to meet with Daniel Monks who has flown all the way from Australia just to talk to us.  Well, and for the UK premiere of the PULSE the wonderful movie that he wrote and starred and which he very generously let queerguru view even before it had its  World Premiere in Melbourne last month. We unreservedly loved the film and Daniels’s innovative take on a transgender issue, and we are always excited to meet any talented new voice in queer cinema ….which we think he definitely is.
