Vogue’s ANNA WINTOUR has a bigger set of balls than any of the men that let Trump bully them

Queerguru may not have always been the biggest fans of  DAME ANNA WINTOUR, the former editor -in-chief of Vogue, who is currently their global editorial director but we have always admired what she has achieved.  She is rightfully regarded as the most powerful woman in publishing, BUT far from being easy to work with or for.  Not a point of view she shares and was convinced that the movie, based on her life, ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘ in which she was portrayed in a wickedly funny parody, would be a flop!  However, it was such an enormous commercial success that they are currently filming a sequel.

On one hand, Wintour has been praised for her skill in identifying emerging fashion trends, but has been criticised for her reportedly aloof and demanding personality.  She has used her position and her strength to lead annual haute couture Met Gala global fashion spectacle in Manhattan since the 1990s and make it THE hottest ticket of the year. Wintour  has always been a great Democratic supporter, but when it came to The Met Gala she stood up to Trump and his demands and showed she has a bigger set of balls than all those CEO’S who have willingly given in to his aggressive bullying

I never regret permanently removing Trump from the Invitation List of The Met Gala, even though he was the President.  He used to be a guest at that time. I thought he was just a businessman, but I was wrong.  The Met Gala is neither Mar-a-Lago or a stage for restoring the reputation of the powerful and wealthy.  When I host this event, it’s not reserve a seat for him nor to let his supporters shout ‘Make Fashion Great  Again’ by the red carpet. We make room for Art Culture and the true spirit of Innovation rather than making way for someone who has blatantly belittled and mocked women, immigrants, and regarded aesthetics as a bargaining chip. He once tried to presuade me to let him return to the red carpet with the First Lady and also hinted that there were sponsoring brands willing to pay.  I refused because the Met Gala is not an exchange. He hasnt been cancelled, he just truly never belonged here.  Its ridiculous that he actually thought he could come back I don’t want this most sacred night in the fashion world to be reduced into someone’s political show .  Whether he’s willimg to admit  it or not,  HE’S OUT FOR GOOD.
