The TEDDY AWARD has been presented at the Berlin International Film Festival for 38 years. It is the oldest and most important queer film award in the world, recognizing films and individuals that communicate issues of social diversity and contribute to greater tolerance, acceptance, solidarity and equality in society.
The TEDDY AWARD ceremony with around 1500 guests from the worlds of art, culture, business and politics is one of the biggest public events at the Berlinale and a glamorous highlight in Berlin’s cultural calendar, not least because of its star-studded exciting party. This year the entertainment included Two On A Rope ……. Maxim Khelmut.and lurii Kharchenko who usually perform at the festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain – Parisand no disrespect to all the TEDDY Winners but they just blew us away!
