The property — featuring a 103-room hotel at 510 W. 42nd St. between 10th and 11th Avenues — shuttered last October after operating for six years, although the Playboy Club flamed out in 2019 after being open for barely a year.

Reisner, has faced controvesy in the past when he faced boycott calls for hosting an event in 2015 for Senator Ted Cruz, who is adamantly opposed to same-sex marriage, apologized to the gay community for showing “poor judgment.” Reisner put the apology on Facebook, where a page calling for a boycott of his properties, the gay-friendly Out NYC hotel and his Fire Island Pines holdings, had gotten more than 8,200 “likes” by Sunday evening. .
