It turns out the protesting teachers on strike in Mexico City have bigger sets of balls than the country’s leading footballers.  To celebrate the World Cup, the City had erected huge statues of them, but with just over a week to go before the opening match of the tournament.  However, protesters stripped them naked and posed for photos alongside the exposed “Giants of Soccer” figures.  It turned out there was no need for modesty, though, as the life-like figures were actually very unlife-like when they were disrobed, as they all lacked genitalia!!!

Maybe it’s a ‘Mexican thing,’ but it’s a bitter disillusionment to all of us non-sports fans who only watch the game wondering ‘how built’ the players were under their short shorts.
