Just when you thought that there are maybe one (or two……too many) drag queens on TV these days thanks to the ubiquitous Mr. Andre Charles (aka Ru Paul), we have some news. We had actually given up on them all and it’s not necessarily the volume that has turned the Queerguru Team off, but the fact that somewhere along the way they swapped all their natural humor for sheer bouginess.
So it was a very pleasant surprise to discover that legendary drag queen (the potty-mouthed) Alaska Thunderfuck and her creative drag partner Lola LeCroix have their own HILARIOUS TV program. It’s called DRAG QUEEN OF THE YEAR: Behind The Pageant. It’s the second part of the title that makes this Drag event so very compelling
With a venue in place and rehearsals gearing up, Alaska and Lola have to deal with an unreliable crew, packages not being delivered, and eight drag queen contestants who all have a variety of talent, and costumes. Its frigging hilarious
Season 2 is about to be launched on OUT TV …… and the extra good news for those of you, who like us missed it, Season 1 is available there to.
