Whilst ‘the boys’ are making tracks to the first ever Camping Festival this summer run Adonis, the people who have been running one of London’s most hedonistic and globally respected queer club nights, queer woman could make tracks to the Out & Wild Festival. Its a wellness festival designed specifically for queer, questioning, curious women and non-binary peeps. It features a lineup of established and up-and-coming musicians, DJs, and artists, and it provides a fab inclusive environment for attendees to enjoy music, dance, and socialise.
Founded by Polly Shute and Becky French, this lesbian festival is known for its energetic and vibrant atmosphere, and it is a popular event among members of the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to music, the festival also features a range of activities and entertainment, including food and drinks, art exhibitions, and a range of activities that focus on mental health. The festival is an opportunity for people to come together, celebrate diversity, and show support for the LGBTQ+ community.
The wellness side of the festival is being run by Rach and Issy, who have been on their own separate journeys of self-acceptance, self-discovery, and healing. Together, they have over 16 years of experience in helping people with all things fitness, nutrition, and mindset-related. They created a company called LGBT FIT, which aims to provide a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community to access a library of workout videos, including Pilates, strength and conditioning, HIIT, guided meditations, and breathwork exercises. They understand that fitness is more than just physical health, but also overall mental health and self-awareness.
There will be an array of wellness experiences and activities in store this year, including yoga, meditation, tai chi, therapies, pilates, workouts, dance, breathwork, hot tubs, ice baths, massages, mindfulness, and interactive talks from experts, open to all levels. Attendees can also enjoy music, comedy, spoken word, and sports, as well as evening events such as live acts and silent disco.
