Really Want To Hurt Me is back in London

Fresh from it’s critically acclaimed sold-out run at the Assembly Hall at this year’s Edinburgh Festival,  Flaming Theatre brings Ben Santa Maria’s  REALLY WANT TO HURT ME back to London. This enchanting new dark comedy with dance sequences is about growing up as a gay teenager in ‘80s Devon. It offers a fresh small town and rural voice, compared to the more familiar big city LGBTQ stories, and explores surviving bullying, suicidal self-hate and heartache to a classic ‘80s pop and indie soundtrack featuring Culture Club, Eurythmics, Tears for Fears, Kate Bush, The Smiths, Cocteau Twins and more.

It will be playing at  the Best of the Fest season at Theatre503, 503 Battersea Park Road, London, SW11 3BW Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November at 8.30pm.  http://theatre503.com

The Soho Theatre has selected Really Want to Hurt Me for their Soho Rising season Thursday 13 Dec 2018 7.00pm  https://sohotheatre.com/shows/really-want-to-hurt-me/
