Our very excited Fashion Editor Graham Fraser is back from viewing the wealth of runway shows in Europe, and this is the report he filed with us
We at QueerGuru are always watching what happens in the world of fashion. A good guide point is the App. for Vogue Runway which shows you all the runway pics for men and women plus great reviews written by top Vogue journalists. As an editor, last week, noticed a trend for A/W 2024 which seems to be coming from many brands. The outstanding examples were shown by the well-seasoned designer Dries van Noten. Showing slim elongated almost floor-length coats in rainwear as well as wool and herringbone, fur, and grey tweed.
I have taken a quote from Sarah Mower of Vogue who says “Dries is at his much loved and relied-on best when he makes a coat a classic coat. The shawl collared, one-button tuxedo at the end of the collection was one such impeccable, timeless piece. In a season when mountains of long dark coats are being shown, it still stood out as one of the best in class.”
Other designers from Milan, Florence to Paris showed coats skimming the floor from Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, Paul Smith, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Valentino and more…….
