The 67th annual Grammy Awards will take place this Sunday, February 2nd and there is a TON of queer artists that we will be rooting for – LEZZZZZ take a look at some of my favorite queer nominees, shall we?
Featuring lesbian pop star Chappell Roan who has been turning heads with her fearless anthems, as well as Troye Sivan, whose choreography and eclectic style completely broke the internet. And Lez not forget Charli XCX and Billie Eilish, who have multiple nominations to add to this impressively gay list.
Out (pun intended) of all the incredibly talented queer nominees, two really stand out for me this year- Billie Eilish and Doechii. Billie Eilish is one of the most awarded and talented young artists of her generation. She is back on the Grammys stage this year with another SEVEN nominations and to break a new record.
This makes Eilish the first artist ever to have their first three albums up for Album of the Year.
Record of the Year: Birds of a Feather
Album of the Year: Hit Me Hard and Soft
Song of the Year: Birds of a Feather
Best Pop Solo Performance: Birds of a Feather
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance: Guess featuring Charli XCX
Best Pop Vocal Album: Hit Me Hard and Soft
Best Dance Pop Recording: L’Amourde Ma Vie [Over Now Extended Edit]
Billie Eilish – BIRDS OF A FEATHER (Official Music Video)
I’ve always been a sucker for female rappers, but I haven’t found one that has really resonated with me since the Foxy Brown and Lil Kim era. Doechii filled that void for me! She started writing poetry and rap in high school and I just love the flow and vibe to her music (with a side of raunch). Doechii scored four nominations for the 2025 Grammys. There simply aren’t enough good things to say about this artist and if you still need convincing, just open that Spotify app and find out for yourself!
Best Rap Album: Alligator Bites Never Heal
Best New Artist
Best Rap Performance: Nissan Altima
Best Remixed Recording: Alter Ego – Kaytranada remix
Doechii – NISSAN ALTIMA
*Important editor’s note*- Beyoncé has never won Album of the Year at the Grammys, despite having a record 32 Grammys. I am sending all my prayers up to the gay Gods that our Bey finally gets what she so deserves and wins for “Cowboy Carter.”
