Queerguru will be cheering for all of TEAM LGBTQ at the 2024 PARIS OLYMPIC GAMES

This 2024 Olympics database includes profiles of the 144 out gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and nonbinary Olympians. The 2024 Paris Games mark a significant increase in LGBTQ representation, highlighting the progress towards inclusivity and acceptance in the sports world. There are also a record number of out male Olympic athletes.

The interactive list  from outsports.com allows you to filter by country, sport and competition category, making it easy to find and learn more about each athlete. Whether you’re looking for athletes from your home country or interested in a specific sport, the database is designed to help you connect with and support these trailblazing individuals. Note: Equestrian and sailing are nongender events, so those athletes can be found under that competition category.

They believe the numbers will grow as the Games progress, so if you Know of an out LGBTQ athlete who’s competing but not listed, then help outsports  keep their database current by contacting them with any updates or new information. Reach out via email ([email protected]), or direct message them on Twitter/X (@outsports).

Among the prominent out Olympians are British diver Tom Daley; USA track star Sha’Carri Richardson (who might be the world’s fastest woman); pro basketball players Diana TaurasiBrittney GrinerAlyssa ThomasBreanna StewartJewell Loyd and Chelsea Gray of Team USA; Brazilian gymnast Arthur Nory; and trans nonbinary athletes Quinn (Canada soccer) and Nikki Hiltz (USA track and field).

One of the first-time out Olympians is U.S. women’s rugby player Stephanie Rovetti, a one-time star on BYU’s basketball team who forged a second athletic career in rugby. Raised in Reno as a Mormon, Rovetti found her orientation at odds with her religion, so being out in Paris is very meaningful, she told Outsports.
