Ever since QUEERGURU was born 11 years ago, there has been an explosion of really good new queer lit. We haven’t been able to cover much of it at all with the limited resources of our small editorial team as we made the decision to prioritize our focus on queer cinema. So we were thrilled to hear from Irish Queer Lit Editor Peter Paul Hartnett who has been working with LGBT+ writers to bring you his special free 18+ adult-themed LGBT+ online resource.
Hartnett is an internationally published author of several novels, one of which was selected as Book Of The Week by Michael Arditti for The Times, Hartnett’s unique approach is that of a challenging originator, innovator. As well as being the editor of The Gay Times Book of Short Stories #1 #2 (New Century, New Writing), The Gay Times Book of Short Stories (The Next Wave) and co-editor of an LGBTQIA+ collection entitled City Secrets with Cathy Bolton of Commonword and Cultureword (Crocus Books).
If that is not enough, Hartnett is also an Internationally exhibited photographer and broadcaster. with recent shows based upon Leigh Bowery and the 80s ‘alt’ scenes at Fashion & Textiles Museum and Tate Modern. PLUS he also the benefactor of the prestigious the annual Hartnett Queer Lit Poetry Award .
