So if we are totally honest (!) the one movie genre we are not passionate about is horror. But as part of our transformation from Brit to Yank, we know we have to now get fully into the Halloween spirit when the holiday comes around. Its one of the reasons we are making tracks to the Look Dine-In Cinema in Glendale for The Black Cat Cinema Series. We really admire their policy that, as things are becoming more uncertain for queer people in the U.S. they feel more strongly than ever that they need to celebrate queer filmmakers and their art as much as possible!
So they have invited queer horror expert Michael Varrati to pick one of his favorite queer horror films and talk about it with its director. He’s chosen the chilling queer slasher classic HELLBENT, set in WeHo and directed by Paul Etheredge! There will be a Q&A with both of them afterwards!!
They asked Queerguru to share with you to dress up if you feel like it, and there will be badass drinks at the bar before and after the screening… and they will of course, have Halloween candy. It’s going to be a blast!!
