PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT is 30 years old and they want to put The Bus back on the road

As much as we loved and raved about PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT unquestionable thr best queer movie to ever come out of Australia we really dont want to see any sequel .  Director Stephan Elliott has confirmed that the original cast members, Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, and Terence Stamp, are all on board to reprise their roles, but it is  30 years old  comes with its own set of problems.  Terence Stamp may have earned BAFTA Award  and Golden Globe Award nominations  for his role as bitter Bernadette,  but he is now 85 years old.

But the script has been  completed, so we are assuming that production will start shortly . Just like the first film, the story will revolve around the adventures of drag queens Tick/Mitzi Del Bra (played by Hugo Weaving), Adam/Felicia Jollygoodfellow (played by Guy Pearce), and Bernadette Bassenger (played by Terence Stamp). This sequal will take audiences on another unforgettable journey, partly set in Australia but also venturing overseas

The announcement of the sequel  , comes shortly after the discovery of the original film’s iconic bus. After been missing for 25 years, it was found in remote New South Wales, and now there is a Go Fund Me to raise $2.2 million to fund the restoration of the bus.

We may have to eat our words but we fear the worse  : we should leave it as a very happy memory
