OMG hot Irish heartthrob gay actor ANDREW SCOTT is GOING STRAIGHT. This after one of his most successful years to date starring in Andrew Haigh’s stunning queer romantic fantasy ALL OF US STRANGERS. He had preceded that by starring in a new TV series RIPLEY for which he is nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor. And lest we forget he starred in both sides of the Atlantic in his take of Checkov’s UNCLE VANYA in which Scott played ALL the parts to great critical acclaim.
This workaholic actor has another three movies finished awaiting release including BLUE MOON a biopic on the last days of songwriter LORENz HART who was what used to be politely described as a ‘confirmed bachelor.’
However our world was shattered last week when a Released turned up on our News Desk that told us that Scott is about to play STRAIGHT FOR PAY.
He is to star in a new sci-fi romance titled My Notes on Mars, starring opposite Past Lives’ Greta Lee. Set to shoot between Budapest and Vienna next year, the film follows Margot (Lee), a young scientist stuck in a troubled marriage. In the story, her character mysteriously disappears while on a hike with her husband Sam and some friends. Scott plays Sam …..hmmmm
You mean there is NO suitable STRAIGHT actor to play this role ? Yea, we know Scott will make a great job of it, maybe even win another award, but PLEASE Casting Directors he shouldn’t have to: he’s ONE OF OURS
