Olivia Colman & Jessie Buckley star in WICKED LITTLE LETTERS an outrageously profane Brit comedy based on a true story.

About to hit movie theaters everywhere ( well probably not in the Bible Belt on account of the very blue language) is one of the funniest Brit movies we have seen for a very long time.

It’s near impossible to believe that this outrageously profane comedy is based on a true story.  Set in an English seaside in the 1920s this riotous story is about two neighbors: deeply conservative local Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley)

When Edith and fellow residents begin to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities, foulmouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar, and a trial ensues.  (Warning the letters are not for the fainthearted.) The town’s women however don’t believe that Rose is the culprit, and led by Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) – begin to investigate the crime themselves.

This is the type of wickedly black comedy that the Brits excel at, and this one by theatre-turned-film director Thea Sharrock is a sheer hilarious joy. Of course, she is abetted with faultless performances by two superbly talented actresses Academy Award winner Olivia Colman and Academy Award nominee Jessie Buckley.

Sony Pictures promises to release it very soon  DO NOT MISS IT
