About four years ago the sublime Joey Arias spent the whole summer performing at The Art House in Provincetown alongside Raven. My friends told me little about this NY phenomena but insisted as she was totally fabulous I should go see her Show. I am so pleased that I did as the moment, Joey opened her mouth I was a total goner, and by the time she did her take on Billie Holliday’s Strange Fruit there were tears rolling down my cheek. I still remember every minute of that performance to this very day.
