Meryl Meisler’s STREET WALKER iconic images of some of the American hotspots of 70’s and 80’s

Meryl Meiser’s fabulous new book of photography  STREET WALKER so appeals to the voyeur in us that wishes we had been there on the streets with her at the time.  She has captured such wonderful cultural diversity from the 70’s and 80s’ with some iconic images of some of the Anerican hotspots of the time.   Its an intimate glimpse into a way of life long gone that showed us how rich and colorful life was on the streets. Each of her images remind us of how its working class people that actually shape our nation, and with such humor and they very own sense of style, better than any history textbook at school.

Meiser’s book is a record of how the decades that directly followed the ‘swinging sixties’ had liberated both our sense of style and reality laying the ground roots for future generations,
